Philadelphia Looking for their Fourth Straight Win
The Philadelphia 76ers have won three straight as they held off Sacramento at home Friday night to maintain momentum. Philadelphia entered Saturday third in the Eastern Conference standings, eight games behind the Bucks for the top spot: they trailed Toronto in the Atlantic Division by five games. The 76ers led by four after the opening quarter and at the half before extending their lead to 10 after three quarters. Philadelphia didn’t see their lead drop below three in the final quarter as they picked up the win. The 76ers shot 50.5 % from the field, including seven of 24 from three-point range, and won the rebounding battle 49-40. Jimmy Butler led the Philadelphia with 22 points, six rebounds and seven assists in the win.
Milwaukee Seeking Fifth Back-to-Back Wins to Keep The Momentum
The Milwaukee Bucks won their second straight and their fourth in the last five games as they pulled off a NBA first in the win over Miami. The Bucks entered Saturday leading the Eastern Conference by three games over the Raptors: they were eight games up on Indiana in the Central Division. The Bucks trailed by 18 after the opening quarter and by 20 at the half before rallying. The Bucks outscored the Heat 71-36 in the second half and became the first team in NBA history to trail by at least 20 points at the half and rally to win by at least 15. It marked the first time in franchise history the Milwaukee rallied from at least 20 down at the half on the road to win: they were 0-77 on the road and 1-100 overall in those games. The Bucks shot 47.7 % from the field, including 12 of 33 from three-point range, and won the rebounding battle 52-45. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 33 points, 16 rebounds, nine assists and three blocks in the win.
The Philadelphia 76ers look loaded on paper but that hasn’t always translated on the road, where they’ve lost two straight. The home team has won five A.T.S. in this series. The Milwaukee Bucks are back home after a brilliant comeback win in Miami. Look for another statement game by the Milwaukee versus an Eastern Conference contender.
