INDIANA @ NEW ORLEANS | 2/04 | 8:00 PM EST
Indiana took down Miami on the road and snapped a four-game losing skid as they earned their first win since Victor Oladipo was lost for the season. The Pacers entered Sunday fourth in the Eastern Conference, 5.5 games behind the Bucks for the top spot in both the conference and the Central Division. Indiana trailed by six after the opening quarter and by one at the half before outscoring Miami 31-23 in the third quarter. Both offenses were awful in the fourth with each team scoring just 11 points, allowing the Pacers to prevail. Indiana shot 42.7 percent from the field, including seven of 24 from three-point range, and forced 23 Miami turnovers in the game.
New Orleans dropped their second straight and their seventh in the last nine games as they fell in San Antonio. The Pelicans entered Sunday 13th in the Western Conference, six games behind the Clippers for the final playoff spot. New Orleans trailed by 11 after the opening quarter, by 13 at the half and by 16 after three quarters before closing the gap in the fourth. The Pelicans trailed by 20 with 5:45 to play but got within three with 38 seconds to play before running out of gas. New Orleans shot 44.8 percent from the field, including 10 of 35 from three-point range, but lost the rebounding battle 50-42.
My models projecting 227 points for Pacers-Pelicans, giving us solid value on the Over. The Over is cashing in 67 percent of my simulations.
