MLB 5/25/19 Sharp Line Movements: White Sox @ Twins, Reds @ Cubs & Marlins @ Nationals

2:10 p.m. ET | White Sox @ Twins | Sharp Line Movement: Over (moved from 10 to 10.5)

Average Public betters see the heavy hitting Twins lineup facing off against a lefty with a 7.26 ERA (Manny Banuelos) and say “Public saying give me the over.” But smart money like the over more because of the weather. The wind is blowing out to straightaway center at 11 MPH

2:20 p.m. ET | Reds @ Cubs| Sharp Line Movement: Over (moved from 10 to 10.5)

Smart money seeing another high scoring game at gusty Wrigley Field. The over/under opened at a high 10. Currently 67% of bets but a massive 90% of dollars are taking the over, indicating relatively heavy public backing but also seen huge smart money.

I’ve detected a huge steam move on the Over 10.5 and the wind is howling out to right center at 10-13 MPH. since 2005 When the wind is blowing out at 8 MPH or higher in conference games on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays, the over has won 55.2% of the time (+73.55 units, 7.9% ROI).

4:05 p.m. ET | Marlins @ Nationals| Sharp Line Movement: Over (moved from 8 to 9)

This game over/under opened at a relatively low 8. Currently 65% of bets and 68% of dollars are taking the over and we’ve seen this total increase a full run from 8 to 9. Typically, 64% of bets isn’t uneven enough to cause a full run swing. It may force the total to go above a half run, but it’s not uneven enough to go that much further. So we recognize it’s more than just public bettors moving this total.

I’ve followed two heavy steam moves on the Over, with sharps beating on the Over 8 at the beginning and then coming back for additional on Over 8.5. Once again, Mother Nature is playing a role here. The wind is blowing out to left center at 10 MPH
