Boston Celtics vs. Philadelphia 76ers

Celtics dropped their second straight game as they let a big lead slide away against the L.A. Clippers, marking their second straight big blown lead. The Celtics entered Monday fifth in the Eastern Conference, 5.5 games behind the Bucks: the team was 4.5 games behind the Raptors in the Atlantic Division. Boston led by 23 after the opening quarter and 68-40 with 4:39 to play in the first half. The Celtics saw that lead trimmed to 21 at the half and five after three quarters. In the fourth quarter, Boston was outscored 42-26 to end up with the loss.

76ers won their second straight game as they steamed to the win over the L.A. Lakers at home Sunday afternoon. The Philadelphia entered Monday fourth in the Eastern Conference, 4.5 games behind the Bucks: they were 3.5 games behind the Raptors in the Atlantic Division. Philadelphia trailed by one after the opening quarter but took a nine-point halftime edge before pulling away in the second half. The 76ers shot a blistering 57.7 percent from the field, including 12 of 24 from beyond the arc, and forced 16 Lakers turnovers in the game.

This game doesn’t look promising for the Celtics. They are already 9-16-1 ATS on the road this season and will be playing without Kyrie Irving (knee). The Sixers are coming off a 23-point win over the Lakers on Sunday and are 16-13 ATS at home. I’ll take them to cover here.
